The Inter-disciplinary Centre for Social Justice(ICSJ) aims to study and research on laws and policies of the socially and educationally backward classes and minorities in India. The centre addresses the constitutional mandate to create an egalitarian society and also commits itself to understanding the rights of the downtrodden as enshrined in the Constitution of India.
As a means of achieving the objectives of ameliorating poverty and social backwardness inherent in our society,we believe it is imperative to derive consensus from the youth of this country. Parliamentary debating in today's world has evolved into a formal forum for discussing and deliberating over social issues that have their roots deeply entrenched in the society.
Following the same, the Centre has decided to organise the NUALS Asian Parliamentary Debate 2014 focusing on the theme of ‘Social Justice’.
